With over 11,400 patients, the demand for appointments is always high and we continually analyse our system to offer the best choice that we can. There are 4 appointment types generally on offer:
These are for routine reviews and non-urgent problems. They can be booked between 2 - 6 weeks in advance. If you prefer to see a specific doctor, these are the best appointments to choose; they can be booked in person, by telephone or through this website if you have already registered to do so.
On the Day
These are for non-urgent or urgent problems and are released at 8:00am on the day that the appointment can be offered. You must telephone, book online or visit the surgery at 8:00am, or soon after. Choosing a particular doctor may be more difficult.
In exceptional circumstances doctors will stay behind after their surgeries and delay their house visits and paperwork in order to see patients about one problem which they feel will not wait.
The 07:30 opening is only for patients who have a pre-booked appointment during our extended access arrangement.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Every month approximately 26 hours of doctor appointments are lost through patients not cancelling appointments that they no longer require.
Appointments can be booked online; to register for this service please send an email to our Administration team giving the names and dates of birth of all householders that require access: firstname.lastname@example.org Please be aware that, for confidentiality reasons, we do not register children under the age of 16 for this service.
You will then be asked to bring photographic ID into the surgery; if this is not convenient, we can use a system called "vouching" whereby you prove your identity by confirming elements of your medical record.
We will now be providing online access to your medication list, allergies and adverse reactions. If you already have an account, please email email@example.com for an extended access registration pack if you wish to view these.
